Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• General Duty Home Guards (Men & Women) – 10+2 (12th) pass from a recognised board.
• Bandmen – 10+2 (12th) pass.
• Home Guard Volunteer Drivers – 10+2 or Matriculation from a recognised board with a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving License.
• Technical Tradesmen – Matriculation (10th pass) plus ITI Certificate in relevant trade recognised by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 50 Years
  (Age calculated as on 01 January 2026)

Physical Standards (for General Duty):

• Male (General) – Height: 5′6″, Chest: 31″–32″
• Male (SC/ST) – Height: 5′4″, Chest: 29″–30″
• Female (General) – Height: 5′2″
• Female (SC/ST) – Height: 5′0″

Salary / Remuneration

Home Guard volunteers will be paid remuneration per duty day as per Government rates. Presently, it is fixed at ₹977/- per day.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Physical Standard Test (PST)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
3. Written Test and Merit Evaluation
4. Document Verification and Medical Examination

Merit list will be prepared considering educational qualifications, physical test performance, NCC/NSS/Sports achievements, driving experience (for driver posts), and written test scores where applicable.
